Exchange of Opinions on the Effects of Introducing Smart Farms

The Jeonnam branch of NongHyup visited a standard-type smart farm in Goheung-gun on the 16th to assist with fieldwork and promote ESG practices in smart agriculture.
Over 40 heads of city and county branches and office managers from Jeonnam participated, sharing the direction for introducing and expanding standard-type smart farms?a key project of Jeonnam NongHyup?and directly observed the effects of smart agriculture on-site.
They also listened to outstanding cases of smart farm cooperation projects with local governments by Heungyang NongHyup, discussing the potential for expansion in each city and county and practical implementation measures.
Additionally, to address labor shortages during the farming season, office managers took the lead in helping harvest cucumbers grown in the smart farm. As part of ESG management activities fulfilling social responsibility in agriculture and rural areas, they also participated in collecting agricultural waste.
Lee Gwangil, head of the branch, said, "We share the need to introduce standard-type smart farms to expand smart agriculture, and we will further strengthen cooperation with local governments for the sustainable development of agriculture."
Jeonnam NongHyup plans to continue strengthening agricultural competitiveness and establishing a foundation for smart agriculture by promoting the introduction of standard-type smart farms and revitalizing cooperation projects with local governments.
