Members of the group NewJeans announced that they will file an appeal after their objection to the court's ruling prohibiting independent activities was rejected.

The Civil Division 50 of the Seoul Central District Court (Chief Presiding Judge Kim Sang-hoon) dismissed NewJeans members' injunction objection on the 16th.

In response, the legal representatives of NewJeans members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein from the law firm Sejong stated, "We have immediately submitted a notice of appeal," adding, "We will continue to diligently participate in the ongoing legal procedures and do our best to ensure that the facts are clearly revealed."

Earlier, in November of last year, NewJeans members held a press conference claiming that their exclusive contract with ADOR had been terminated and began independent activities under the name 'NJZ.'

Last month on the 21st, the court accepted ADOR's injunction request against NewJeans to "preserve the status of the agency and prohibit the conclusion of advertising contracts," fully granting the injunction. As a result, NewJeans members are no longer allowed to independently engage in commercial activities based on their status or approval as public culture and arts performers, such as advertising shoots or performances, without ADOR's consent or approval.

NewJeans members submitted an objection to the injunction ruling on the day it was granted, but it was not accepted.

Meanwhile, on the 16th, marking their 1000th day since debut, NewJeans conveyed to their fans, "It has been a joyful and precious time together, and we ask you to continue being with us," expressing gratitude for "waiting for us even in difficult circumstances." They added, "Although we have lost some time to spend together, we will fill it with better memories later, so please look forward to that future with us."
