Full-scale Training of Aerospace Talent Begins
Gyeongsang National University announced on the 19th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the development of the aerospace and defense industries and the training of specialized personnel, as well as a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to establish a new employment track based on a contract quota system, with MoaSoft.
Gyeongsang National University (GNU) and MoaSoft Co., Ltd. signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the development of the aerospace and defense industries and the cultivation of specialized personnel, as well as a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to establish a new employment track based on a contract quota system, simultaneously on April 16th in the conference room on the 6th floor of the Central Library at Gyeongsang National University. This agreement was promoted to strengthen industry-academia cooperation based on the technology and expertise possessed by both institutions following Gyeongsang National University's selection for the 2023 Glocal University 30 Project, to meet the demand for specialized personnel in aerospace and defense companies, and to provide employment opportunities for students.
Gyeongsang National University will select five aerospace college students who have completed four semesters each year and provide scholarships and domestic and international training opportunities during their 3rd and 4th years. MoaSoft will provide employment support funds (equivalent to tuition fees) to 3rd and 4th-year students, guarantee employment immediately after graduation following on-site training before hiring and various academic support.
President Jin-Hoe Kwon of Gyeongsang National University said, "This agreement is expected to provide quality employment opportunities for aerospace college students and contribute to alleviating the manpower shortage of companies in the Gyeongnam region," adding, "We will do our best to nurture talent in the aerospace and defense industries."
