SSG.com announced on the 17th that it has appointed actor Cha Eun-woo as the exclusive beauty model and will launch the 'Beauty of SSG' brand campaign to revitalize its 'Beauty Specialty Store.'
'Beauty of SSG' is a phrase that succinctly expresses that all cosmetics in the world can be found at the Beauty Specialty Store. This was newly defined in the main brand campaign video released that morning. The company explained that through a striking video starting with Cha Eun-woo's red lipstick, they intend to expand the platform's reach as a beauty destination favored by the young 2030 generation.
Since early this month, viral marketing has also been conducted using Cha Eun-woo's English name 'Felix' as a secondary character (bucca). Over 10 posts uploaded by the bucca Felix on SSG.com Beauty's official Instagram received more than 1 million 'likes' within two weeks, and the number of followers on the official account doubled compared to before Felix's appearance.
Based on understanding and trust in the brand, SSG.com maintains close cooperative relationships with overseas luxury brands as well as domestic indie brands, and as of the end of last month, sells over 1 million cosmetics from 2,000 domestic and international brands at the Beauty Specialty Store.
They are also strengthening collaboration with small and medium-sized cosmetics brands. This year, about 10 popular brands among young consumers, such as Jenabel and Centelier, have been selected and nurtured as core brands, and a business agreement was signed with Cosmax to systematically foster indie brands.
