Gyeonggi Province will provide an encouragement grant of 1 million KRW to young people who diligently repay their debts amid economic difficulties and are preparing for a fresh start.
Gyeonggi Province announced on the 17th that it will newly launch the '2025 Gyeonggi Youth Restart Encouragement Support Project' and recruit 10 participants on a first-come, first-served basis until the 30th of this month.
This project targets working youth aged 19 to 39 (born between January 1, 1985, and December 31, 2006) who reside in Gyeonggi Province and are within three months of completing their personal rehabilitation debt repayment or within six months from the discharge decision date. However, those who have missed repayment more than three times are excluded. Applicants must meet the condition of having an income below 140% of the median income based on the 2025 National Health Insurance premium standards.
Youth who have diligently repaid their personal rehabilitation debts and complete programs such as financial education (2 online sessions) and financial counseling (3 face-to-face sessions) will receive a total encouragement support grant of 1 million KRW.

Final selected candidates will be notified individually via text message and through the website announcement on May 26.
