Unfazed by Heavy Rain and Strong Winds!... Mapo-gu Conducts Safety Accident Prevention Training at Construction Sites

Mapo-gu (District Mayor Park Gang-su) held a safety training session on the 14th for more than 20 construction-related personnel, including contractors and supervisors, to prevent construction accidents caused by abnormal weather such as heavy rain and strong winds.

This training was conducted to prevent frequent accidents at construction sites in advance and to strengthen the safety of workers and pedestrians on site.

On the day, Mapo-gu informed the construction personnel participating in the training about major accident cases at construction sites, explained safety rules in detail according to accident types, and urged strict compliance.

A district official said, "If there are sites that need help with safety management, the district office can dispatch experts to provide assistance," adding, "We hope construction sites will always be carefully monitored."

Mapo-gu also emphasized paying attention to various safety issues that may arise due to risks from heavy rain and strong winds, as well as the unpredictable weather changes during the thawing season.

After the training, a session was held to listen to the construction personnel about the current status of construction progress and difficulties experienced during the construction process.

Mapo-gu plans to continue strengthening the safety management system and thoroughly prevent accidents by conducting ongoing inspections of public building construction sites along with training.

Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, said, "I hope construction site personnel will take the lead in safety management with the mindset that they are building their own home," and added, "Mapo-gu will do its best for the safety of residents with the belief that there is no such thing as overreaction when it comes to safety."
