Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, attended the '2025 Civil Defense Captain Group Training' held at the Mapo District Office auditorium on the afternoon of the 16th.
This group training was conducted to acquire and practice the knowledge and skills necessary for performing duties as civil defense captains, thereby strengthening their command capabilities.
The training took place on the 15th and 16th, with a total of about 510 civil defense captains participating, including local captains (tongjang) and workplace captains (general workplace captains and dongjang).
The lectures began with civil defense basic education, followed by earthquake and chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) education, and emergency first aid training.
Before the training, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, said, "This year marks the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Civil Defense Corps, making the civil defense captain training even more meaningful," and added, "I hope you will play an active role in strengthening security and safety awareness as leaders of local safety."
