Search and Seizure Conducted at 13 Locations Including Shinhan Asset Trust Office
The prosecution has uncovered evidence that current and former employees of Shinhan Asset Trust received money and valuables during the trust contract process, and on the 16th, they conducted a search and seizure operation.
The Anti-Corruption Investigation Division 2 of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Choi Jae-hoon) dispatched prosecutors and investigators to Shinhan Asset Trust's office in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and 13 related companies to carry out the search and seizure.
The prosecution believes that from 2020 to 2023, employees of Shinhan Asset Trust received several hundred million won worth of money and valuables while conducting trust business and facilitated loans. The investigation was initiated following a report from the Financial Supervisory Service.
