WIM S is a new product released one year after its predecessor, WIM. Weighing only 1.6 kg and featuring a compact size, it supports comfortable walking for the wearer. Available in two colors, Dark Gray and Burgundy, WIM S offers a slim and active outdoor-inspired design with an ergonomic structure highlighted by luxurious metal materials, providing freedom of movement. Additionally, it is equipped with a single motor symmetrical assistance mechanism based on biomechanics to help users walk more easily and safely.

WIM S has been significantly improved based on various feedback from users of the initial model, WIM. First, reflecting opinions that the weight was concentrated on the front center of the body when wearing WIM, the main unit's weight was reduced by 20% to lessen the perceived weight for users. Accordingly, WIM S reduced its height by 18% and thickness by 10%, making the main unit 80% smaller and slimmer compared to WIM. This reduces the user's body contact area and the prominence of the wearable robot, achieving a more ergonomic design.

Sound has also been improved. The guidance sounds that occur when changing modes can now be adjusted, and a mute function has been applied. Moreover, through a low-noise design, the inevitable noise generated from the robot’s actuators and joints has been reduced by 10 dB, further enhancing usability in everyday environments. Furthermore, WIM S is the world's first wearable robot to obtain an IP65 rating for water and dust resistance, allowing stable use throughout all four seasons.

Another notable feature is the diversified walking modes. While WIM divided assistance strength into three levels, WIM S offers four detailed modes: Air Mode, Hiking Mode (Uphill/Downhill), Care Mode, and Aqua Mode, enabling users to directly select the optimal assistance according to their condition and activity situation.

Lee Yeon-baek, CEO of Wirobotics, stated, "WIM S, released by Wirobotics this time, is a product designed to allow wearers to walk comfortably and safely, based on our unique technology and know-how accumulated over many years in the interactive robot field." He emphasized, "Wirobotics will continue to innovate mobility for all citizens and help extend healthy lives, as well as open the era of one robot per person."
