Hyundai Department Store announced on the 16th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for mutual VIP service partnership with Marina Bay Sands, a representative landmark of Singapore.
Opened in 2010, Marina Bay Sands is Singapore's premier integrated resort, attracting over 45 million visitors annually. It features a 5-star hotel with the world's tallest infinity pool on the 57th floor, as well as various entertainment facilities including a casino, museum, and observation deck. The luxury shopping mall inside, The Shoppes, houses over 270 brands, including luxury and fashion labels, as well as dining options featuring world-renowned Michelin-starred restaurants such as Gordon Ramsay, Wolfgang Puck, and Daniel Boulud.
Through this service partnership, Hyundai Department Store VIP customers will receive premium services and benefits upon visiting Marina Bay Sands. By showing the Hyundai Department Store application (app) screen displaying their VIP status along with their passport at any of the three information desks located in the hotel lobby and on basement levels 1 and 2 of The Shoppes, customers can immediately receive guidance and escort from staff.
First, customers can use the personal concierge service called 'Personal Shopping Service' at The Shoppes, and up to 20% of their purchase amount will be accumulated as points that can be used like cash at Marina Bay Sands. Additionally, a 15% discount on hotel rooms is applied. Tickets for essential Marina Bay Sands attractions such as the SkyPark Observation Deck, Sampan Ride (traditional boat ride on the indoor canal), and museum are also provided.
For Marina Bay Sands VIP customers, VIP-exclusive lounge access and key content tickets, including the ALT.1 cultural complex at The Hyundai Seoul and the Hyundai Department Store Trade Center branch, will be offered. Benefits such as an immediate 5-7% shopping discount, priority entry to luxury brands, and accumulation of H Points through Hyundai Department Store Group’s integrated membership are also provided.
Previously, Hyundai Department Store signed VIP service partnerships with Thailand’s Siam Piwat Group in May last year and Japan’s Hankyu Department Store in September. Hyundai Department Store VIP customers can receive VIP treatment at four Siam Piwat Group stores?Siam Paragon, Siam Discovery, Siam Center, and ICONSIAM?as well as at Hankyu Department Store’s Umeda Main Store and Hankyu Men’s Tokyo Store.
Hyundai Department Store’s move to collaborate on VIP services with overseas retailers is part of a strategy to strengthen customer loyalty by offering differentiated shopping experiences. This is because, despite the prolonged economic downturn, 'high-end consumption' centered on VIP customers tends to remain robust.

We will continue to expand our global network to break down the physical boundaries of VIP services and offer unique experiences available only at Hyundai Department Store."
