The Export-Import Bank of Korea, the Korea Specialty Contractors Mutual Aid Association, and the Overseas Construction Association signed a business agreement on the 15th to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in expanding overseas.
They agreed to share overseas construction project information and key training programs, collaborate on performance guarantees and educational support, and strengthen channels to listen carefully to the difficulties faced by each company. Han Man-hee, President of the Overseas Construction Association, stated, "We are making every effort to resolve difficulties caused by the domestic construction market downturn and to expand the overseas advancement of SMEs to secure global competitiveness from a long-term perspective."
Lee Eun-jae, Chairman of the Korea Specialty Contractors Mutual Aid Association, said, "We hope to cooperate closely to support construction companies' overseas expansion and provide financial solutions." Yoon Hee-sung, President of the Export-Import Bank, said, "This agreement will activate information sharing among SMEs."
