Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization are developing 'Yongin BOCA Coffee Street' and 'Yeoncheon Cheotmeori Street' as lifestyle tourism attractions.
On the 16th, Gyeonggi Province announced that through a public contest for the '2025 Gyeonggi Province Hidden Tourism Theme Alleys' project, Yongin BOCA Coffee Street and Yeoncheon Cheotmeori Street were newly selected as themed alleys and will be developed into lifestyle tourism attractions.
Yongin City will develop tour courses and travel programs centered around BOCA Coffee Street under the slogan "Connecting People, Coffee, and Alleys!"
Yeoncheon County will operate various tourism programs including product and experience program development using Yeoncheon specialties and hosting street festivals centered around the 'Dugundugun Cheotmeori Festival Street.'
Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization will provide 100 million KRW in project funds to each of the two selected alleys. Additionally, they will promote various projects such as ▲ alley networking ▲ integrated alley festivals and campaigns ▲ brand promotion.
Jang Hyang-jeong, Director of the Tourism Industry Division of Gyeonggi Province, said, "We will discover attractive tourism content that highlights the characteristics of the selected alleys in line with changing travel trends to further strengthen the competitiveness of local tourism resources."
Meanwhile, Gyeonggi Province has selected eight excellent alleys including Suwon Hwaseong Haengnidan-gil, Goyang Samsong Nakseo Art Alley, Hwaseong Jeongok-ri Marina Alley, Ansan Wongok-dong Multicultural Food Street, Siheung Oido Sea Street, Paju Doldari Cultural Village, Pocheon Gwanin Cultural Village, and Dongducheon Camp Bosan Street. They will provide additional support such as representative program commercialization, alley tours and festivals, and promotional content production.
