Hyundai Livart Launches New Concept Interior Package 'The Room'

Three Children's Room Packages to Launch Next Month
Lifestyle-Centered Customized Space Solutions

Hyundai Livart introduces a new concept interior package where choosing a 'space theme' completes the interior design, just like selecting furniture. This product considers the continuous growth of the domestic interior and remodeling market, as well as the increasing number of consumers who prefer simple yet efficient interior solutions.

On the 16th, Hyundai Livart announced the launch of 'THE ROOM,' a new concept interior package under its total interior brand 'Livart Jipterior.' Starting next month on the 1st, three children's room packages will be released first: the 'Mini Library' package for elementary school children, the 'Study Cafe' package for middle and high school students, and the 'Beauty & Fashion' package for adult children.

Launched in 2022, Livart Jipterior is a total interior brand that provides one-stop services from consultation on all Livart interior products such as kitchen furniture, bathrooms, windows, flooring, and wallpaper, to space consulting, purchase, installation, and after-sales service (AS). The newly introduced 'THE ROOM' is a space-customized solution where consumers can complete the interior by selecting 'space interior' with furniture choices and arrangements tailored to the main functions of the room.

Hyundai Livart is introducing THE ROOM to strengthen its total interior competitiveness and target the continuously growing domestic interior and remodeling market. According to the Korea Construction Industry Research Institute, the domestic interior and remodeling market size is estimated at 37 trillion KRW this year and is expected to grow to 44 trillion KRW by 2030. In response, Hyundai Livart has been operating specialized interior brands launched sequentially since 2015, starting with 'Livart Kitchen,' followed by 'Livart Bath,' and the 'Richen Series' (total premium).

Another reason for launching THE ROOM is the recent increase in consumers in the domestic interior market who prioritize efficiency and convenience. A Hyundai Livart representative explained, "As apartment living has become common, more consumers feel fatigued by the process of arranging furniture and interior design to accommodate individual lifestyles, sleep, storage, and study within limited spaces."

Unlike existing interior packages, THE ROOM allows consumers to choose interiors based on the lifestyle of the space user. Typically, interior packages are based on color and design or customized by separately changing and combining furniture, materials, and options according to the desired shape and structure. In contrast, THE ROOM strengthens furniture related to learning and beauty according to age groups in each package and prominently exposes them throughout the space, while large basic furniture such as storage cabinets and beds are hidden inconspicuously using moving and hidden technologies.

For example, the 'Mini Library' package is designed to foster reading habits in elementary school children and consists of a mini sofa booth resembling a library atmosphere, a staircase bookshelf, a hidden wardrobe, a desk, and a bunker bed. The 'Study Cafe' package for middle and high school students features a cafe bench, a movable table, and a sliding bed, allowing free study anywhere in the room. The 'Beauty & Fashion' package for adult children focuses on enhancing storage modules optimized for dress rooms and storage of bags, cosmetics, and accessories.

Hyundai Livart also explained that THE ROOM improves time efficiency, or 'time-cost performance.' To achieve this, it uses super-customizable finishing materials that allow size adjustments for precise interior design, and develops 'gap-specific furniture' such as pull-out storage and angled shelves to eliminate dead space (unused space). Additionally, furniture is arranged vertically and horizontally to maximize space utilization, and storage furniture types are diversified into hinged doors, sliding types, pull-out types, and open cabinets to enhance storage functionality.

A Hyundai Livart representative said, "From the package design stage, furniture and material arrangements are optimized so that customers can easily implement the chosen interior regardless of room shape, such as slab-type or tower-type rooms. As a result, the interior construction period, which used to take up to a month from construction to installation, has been reduced to about 1 to 2 weeks, greatly improving time efficiency."

THE ROOM is available for purchase at Hyundai Livart offline stores such as Livart Jipterior stores in Hyundai Department Store Pangyo and Kintex branches, Livart Total Gangnam branch, and the official online mall, Livart Mall. Installation costs vary depending on the package and options, with small sizes (room size 9㎡) ranging from 5 million to 7 million KRW, and large sizes (room size 11.5㎡) ranging from 8 million to 10 million KRW.
