Dongwha Pharm Donates Proceeds from Hwalmyungsu 127th Anniversary Edition

The Seoul Metropolitan Chapter of the Korean Red Cross (Chairman Kwon Young-gyu) announced on the 15th that Dongwha Pharm has donated the proceeds from the sale of the 127th anniversary edition of Hwalmyungsu, released last year, to provide clean drinking water and improve health and hygiene environments for residents in the Nepal region.

At the donation ceremony held at the Red Cross Seoul Chapter in Majang-dong, Seoul, Dongwha Pharm's Executive Director of Marketing Kim Dae-hyun and Executive Director of Public Relations Lee Taek-gi, among other officials, attended and delivered 20 million KRW for the "Water that Saves Lives" campaign fund.

The donation from Dongwha Pharm will be used for the Korean Red Cross's overseas development cooperation projects. In the rural areas of Sankhu, Swayambhu, and Sabhapokhari in Nepal, plans include △construction of water sources and water facilities △establishment of safe residential facilities for vulnerable groups △implementation of health and hygiene education △vocational training for people with disabilities and unmarried women.

Dongwha Pharm conducts the "Water that Saves Lives" campaign annually using the proceeds from the sale of the anniversary edition of Hwalmyungsu, reflecting the brand's meaning. The 127th anniversary edition was produced in collaboration with film manufacturer Kodak.

In February, the Korean Red Cross conducted a 7-night, 9-day local monitoring for an integrated water, sanitation, and disaster risk reduction project in Nepal, and Dongwha Pharm delivered 200 backpacks and 500 Huscidin products to village health centers and schools for local residents in Nepal.
