Strengthening Career and Employment Collaboration Systems
Raising Departmental Target Employment Rates
Dongmyung University (President Lee Sangcheon) held its regular meeting to improve employment rates and strengthen employment support linkage on April 15 on campus.
About 60 people attended the meeting, including the Office of Industry-Academia Education, each college, the University Job Plus Center, employment support staff, and professors specializing in industry-academia cooperation. The meeting shared the employment rate trends over the past five years, regional employment status, presentations on departments with excellent or contributing employment rates for the 2024 academic year, and improvement plans for departments that fell short of their monthly target employment rates. In addition, the meeting introduced ways to link with the Ministry of Employment and Labor's youth employment policies and employment support programs.
Dongmyung University is maintaining an upward trend in employment rates and securing regional diversity, with 45.7% in Busan and 19.9% in Seoul. The university is raising its overall employment rate by providing customized employment guidance focused on outstanding departments.
Shin Dongseok, head of the University Job Plus Center, stated, "The regular meeting aims to strengthen the organic cooperation system between departments, the university headquarters, and dedicated employment support departments, so that it leads to tangible employment outcomes," adding, "We will continue to expand student-centered customized employment support services."
