A man in his 50s was arrested by the police on suspicion of killing five people, presumed to be a family, at an apartment in Yongin City, Gyeonggi Province.

On the 15th, the Yongin Western Police Station in Gyeonggi announced that Mr. A was booked on charges of murder.


At around 9:55 a.m. that day, five people, presumed to be a family, were found dead at Mr. A’s residence in an apartment in Suji-gu, Yongin City.


The police responded to a joint request from the fire department and discovered the deceased at the scene.


The police found signs of homicide on the bodies and identified Mr. A, a resident of the house, as a suspect and arrested him.


At the time of arrest, Mr. A was staying in a rural area and was reported to be in poor health, unable to undergo police questioning.


Since the investigation of Mr. A has not yet begun and the identification of the bodies is not fully completed, the relationships among the deceased and between Mr. A and the deceased have not yet been revealed.


The police plan to investigate the specific circumstances of the case with Mr. A. They will also confirm the identities of the deceased and conduct autopsies to determine the cause of death.
