Sconex Entertainment announced on the 15th that it will emerge as the biggest beneficiary company in the defense and public institution markets by leveraging its large-scale extended reality (XR) platform.
Sconex's XR system goes beyond simple virtual environments, enabling the implementation of realistic training grounds combined with offline sets, and provides a highly immersive training environment through real-time interaction among multiple users and precise location tracking.
Over the past five years, Sconex has secured various government and public institution trial facility construction achievements, including land, sea, and air infiltration training, chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) simulation, Police One training for the National Police Agency, and chemical research hazardous facility maintenance training systems. Based on this experience, with the expansion of defense and public institution budgets after 2025, large-scale XR system adoption is expected to accelerate, positioning Sconex as the most promising equipment supplier with anticipated performance growth.
A Sconex representative stated, "Large-scale XR is a core technology for next-generation smart defense and digital twin training," adding, "We will actively respond to the demand for K-defense and public digital transformation."
Building on the technology and operational know-how accumulated through the development of the large-scale XR platform, Sconex is also accelerating its expansion into the B2C (general consumer) market.
Sconex plans to diversify its immersive offline content business that general consumers can directly participate in, including ▲franchise-type XR experience centers ▲immersive content within amusement parks ▲escape rooms and themed adventures.
Alongside this, Sconex is promoting projects that recreate various forms of XR game experiences in offline spaces based on its flagship immersive game contents such as 'Mortal Blitz,' 'Strike Rush,' and 'Another Door.' These games, which have received great responses in existing VR arcades, are set to be reborn as completely new immersive experiences in XR environments equipped with high-precision location tracking and multi-user interaction features.
In particular, 'Traveler,' scheduled for release in the second half of this year, will also be launched globally through Meta's mixed reality (MR) platform, 'Meta Quest.' As a new adventure-type content combining large-scale XR technology and AI interaction systems, it is expected to open a new horizon for experiential narrative content based on reality through interaction reflecting user movement paths and real-time responsive narrative structures.
In the global XR market, Meta is demonstrating unparalleled leadership in both hardware and content. Currently, Meta holds 74% of the total XR device market, and the 'Meta Quest' series has sold over 35 million units cumulatively, achieving console-level performance comparable to Xbox.
The Meta Store currently hosts over 9,000 contents, of which about 800 are mixed reality (MR) contents, leading market diversification. Notably, more than 40 top titles have recorded sales exceeding $10 million, and content earning over $20 million is doubling annually, showing overwhelming figures in both profitability and growth.
Since last year, existing 'App Lab' contents have been integrated into the Meta Store, further expanding it into an open platform. The industry evaluates that under this structure, an ecosystem capable of continuously producing mega-hit XR content has already reached a mature stage.
Meta is evolving beyond a simple device manufacturer into the central platform of the global XR ecosystem and is establishing itself as a key player that will create infinite profit value centered on content in the future multi-trillion won XR industry.
Sconex is strategically utilizing Meta's global network and technology platform to accelerate the global expansion of domestic XR content. 'Traveler' is gaining attention as next-generation MR content within the Meta platform and is regarded as a key title expected to contribute significantly to Sconex's global recognition and actual sales.
