Kyungnam College of Information & Technology announced on the 15th that its Hair Design Department's student club "Gawison" has been selected for the "11th Communication Gori University Student Volunteer Contest," organized by the Busan Volunteer Center and Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters, to provide hairdressing and beauty volunteer services for local seniors. The club will carry out volunteer activities linked to their major for one year.

In particular, this club has been recognized for its outstanding volunteer capabilities, having been selected for this program for four consecutive years since 2022.
In addition, the Hair Design Department at Kyungnam College of Information & Technology is working to strengthen students' competencies by operating various major-related clubs and field-oriented brand classes, such as customized education and academies that guarantee employment, in cooperation with renowned domestic hair brands like Juno Hair, Park Seungcheol Hair Studio, and ID Hair.
Yu Eunju, head of the Hair Design Department, said, "We will do our best to support the volunteer activities that began in 2005 so that they can continue to operate well in the future," adding, "We will actively motivate and support the growth of students so they can become true beauty professionals who practice service and sharing through talent donation related to their major, and we will further strengthen communication and volunteer activities with the local community."
