The county will conduct summer season disinfection from this month until October. Intensive disinfection will be carried out two to three times a week starting next month, focusing on Buan-eup downtown, vulnerable areas, and densely populated residential areas where infectious diseases are likely to occur.

Additionally, a special mobile disinfection team will be organized to carry out larval control activities in septic tanks, sewers, public restrooms, riversides and puddles around parks, which are the main sources of mosquito breeding.

Along with this, a program to lend small sprayers and provide chemicals for voluntary disinfection by residents will also be implemented starting next month. The support targets are the local disaster prevention team, village heads, village voluntary disinfection teams, and representatives of apartment complexes with fewer than 150 households. For more details, inquiries can be made to the Infectious Disease Response Team at the public health center.

An official from the county public health center said, "Due to climate change and global warming, the small red house mosquito, which causes pests and Japanese encephalitis, is being detected rapidly," and added, "We will do our best to prevent mosquito-borne infectious diseases."
