Yeongdeok County to Provide 300,000 Won Emergency Living Support to All Residents

Applications Accepted at Township and Town Offices Starting from the 17th

Yeongdeok County in North Gyeongsang Province will implement an 'Emergency Living Support Fund,' providing 300,000 KRW in cash per resident to stabilize the livelihoods of local residents affected by the large-scale wildfire at the end of March and to stimulate the weakened consumer sentiment.

Eligible applicants include anyone who, as of March 28, 2025, the date when the wildfire was extinguished, is registered as a resident in Yeongdeok County, as well as marriage immigrants and those who have obtained permanent residency status.

Applications will be accepted from the 17th of this month until the 23rd of next month. Residents should apply at the township or town office corresponding to their registered address as of March 28. However, the location may change depending on local circumstances, so it is recommended to contact the relevant township or town office in advance.

Applicants must bring their ID and a copy of their bankbook. In principle, the payment will be transferred to the applicant's own account. If the applicant wishes to receive the payment in another account, a power of attorney and the representative's ID are required; in the case of family members, a certificate of family relationship must also be provided.

This emergency living support fund is being provided following the government's declaration of a special disaster zone due to the wildfire, and will be distributed to approximately 270,000 residents in five cities and counties in northern North Gyeongsang Province, including Yeongdeok County.
