Incheon TP Supports Youth-Friendly Renewal of Old Factories... Up to 70 Million KRW per Company

Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP) is promoting the 'Aging Factory Youth-Friendly Renewal' project to transform old factories within industrial complexes into youth-friendly working environments.

This project aims to practically improve the working conditions in aging industrial complexes to promote the influx of young people and improve the employment conditions of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

This year, the support targets are SMEs with fewer than 50 employees located in general industrial complexes such as the (Bupyeong·Juan) National Industrial Complex, Incheon Local Industrial Complex, Incheon Western Industrial Complex, Incheon Machinery Industrial Complex, Cheongna 1 District Industrial Complex, Songdo Knowledge Information Industrial Complex, and Ganghwa Hajum Industrial Complex.

Incheon TP plans to recruit five SMEs and provide up to 70 million KRW in construction costs for four areas: exterior, green spaces, welfare, and working environment. In addition, expert consulting will be provided from design planning to completion, improving not only the streets and parks within the industrial complex but also the internal and external environments of the factories, which is expected to noticeably enhance the actual working conditions of employees.

Applications for support can be submitted online through BizOK until the 22nd, and for more details, inquiries can be made to the Incheon TP Environmental Design Center.

An Incheon TP official said, "This project is meaningful in revitalizing industrial complexes and creating spaces where young people want to work," adding, "We hope for active participation from SMEs that want to transform their facilities beyond production into welfare-oriented industrial spaces through environmental improvements."
