Buk-gu Gwangju to Support Alleyway Store Marketing... Up to 9 Million Won

Events Highlighting Unique Features of Shopping Districts Planned
Applications Accepted Until the 23rd

Gwangju Buk-gu is implementing a marketing support project to revitalize alley-type shopping districts.


On the 15th, Buk-gu announced that it will support the merchants' associations of alley-type shopping districts so they can hold marketing events reflecting the unique characteristics of each district, aiming to boost consumption and promote the commercial areas. A total of 200 million KRW will be invested in the project. Up to 9 million KRW will be provided to each of approximately 25 alley-type shopping districts.

Previously, Buk-gu conducted training sessions for merchants' associations over two days starting from the 7th to strengthen practical capabilities and prevent the misuse of subsidies.


Merchants' associations wishing to participate can check the announcement on the Buk-gu Office website by the 23rd and submit their application in person or via email. The submitted business plans will be evaluated based on appropriateness and promotional strategies, and after a subsidy review, the final recipients will be selected in May.


The marketing events, starting in June, will include resident participation programs and receipt events, aiming to encourage both experiential activities and increased sales. Mayor Moon In stated, "We will continue to provide support to strengthen the self-sufficiency of small business owners."
