People Power Party lawmaker Ahn Cheol-soo emphasized that he is the only candidate who can defeat former Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung.

On the 15th, Ahn stated on Facebook, "Former leader Han Dong-hoon's candidacy is the greatest gift to former leader Lee," adding, "He is the easiest opponent."

Ahn pointed out that Han was a key figure under former President Yoon Seok-youl, saying, "If former leader Han becomes our party's presidential candidate, the public will first feel rejection, thinking 'Is it Yoon Seok-youl again?' or 'Is it another prosecutor lacking political experience?'" He emphasized, "A former prosecutor like Han must never become our party's presidential candidate."

He raised his voice, calling Han a symbol of the conservative camp's crushing defeat in the general election and ultimately leading the conservative faction into a monster. He added, "Yet, trying to run as a presidential candidate without reflection or introspection is the height of irresponsibility," criticizing, "A person with no verified political experience, governance philosophy, or future vision, relying solely on 'bubble-like popularity' to become president, is nothing but driven by an instinctive desire for power."

Ahn asserted that Han can never win against Lee Jae-myung. He urged, "Han poses a greater risk of dragging conservatism back into the mire," and "If he has even the slightest conscience for the party and the country, he should step down voluntarily now."

Ahn also criticized, "Even former Minister of Employment and Labor Kim Moon-soo and former Daegu Mayor Hong Joon-pyo can be considered a comprehensive gift set to former leader Lee." He emphasized, "Only I, Ahn Cheol-soo, a scientist and businessperson with expertise, morality, and centrist appeal, can competently defeat Lee Jae-myung," adding, "I can reform and rebuild our fallen conservative camp."
