to Revitalize Its Activities
The Cultural Heritage Administration announced on the 15th that, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 'Korea Traditional Craft Competition,' it will purchase works by past awardees in collaboration with the Jeonju Cultural Foundation. The Traditional Craft Bank is a system established to purchase crafts made by intangible heritage bearers, lend them to domestic and international institutions, and promote the excellence of traditional crafts. The Cultural Heritage Administration will accept applications and purchase works from the 13th to the 23rd of next month. Eligible works are crafts directly made using traditional techniques by individuals who have received an Encouragement Award or higher at the Korea Traditional Craft Competition within the past five years (2020?2024). Each piece must be priced within 10 million KRW. Purchase decisions will be made through document evaluation and physical assessment.
