KB Securities Lists Two New 'WTI Crude Oil Futures ETNs'

Currently, geopolitical risks such as the instability in the Middle East caused by the wars between Russia and Ukraine, and Israel and Hamas, as well as concerns about oil demand due to U.S. tariff policies, are increasing the volatility of international oil prices. In response, KB Securities has launched 'KB S&P Leverage WTI Crude Oil Futures ETN B' and 'KB S&P Inverse 2X WTI Crude Oil Futures ETN B,' which allow leveraged long and short positions when international oil price volatility expands.

The KB S&P Leverage WTI Crude Oil Futures ETN B is based on the Dow Jones Commodity Index 2X Leverage Crude Oil TR and tracks the daily rate of change of WTI crude oil futures at twice the rate, making it a product that can perform well during periods of rising oil prices. The KB S&P Inverse 2X WTI Crude Oil Futures ETN B is based on the Dow Jones Commodity Index 2X Inverse Crude Oil TR and tracks the daily rate of change of WTI crude oil futures at negative twice the rate, making it useful during periods of falling oil prices.

These newly listed products are currency-exposed, meaning that their performance is linked not only to the performance of WTI futures but also to fluctuations in the dollar exchange rate. Both ETNs have zero management fees (0.00% annually) and have a maturity of five years, allowing trading until April 25, 2030, after which they will be delisted.

Kim Byung-gu, Head of Passive Sales Division at KB Securities, said, "Since crude oil is a representative energy commodity with high investment demand, we decided to relist before the crude oil ETNs maturing in May 2025 are delisted," adding, "KB Securities plans to actively supply products with high investment demand in the future."
