Promoting Mokpo New Port and Other Infrastructure
at Europe's Largest Offshore Wind Power Exhibition

Jeollanam-do has begun full-scale efforts to attract global companies in order to establish itself as the center of South Korea's offshore wind power industry.
From the 8th to the 10th, Jeollanam-do participated in Wind Europe 2025, the largest offshore wind industry exhibition in Europe, where it held meetings with global offshore wind companies and actively promoted Jeollanam-do’s offshore wind power infrastructure?including Mokpo New Port?and investment incentives.
This exhibition, held in Copenhagen, Denmark, is the largest of its kind in Europe, showcasing the latest technologies and market trends in the offshore wind power industry. More than 15,000 participants attended, including over 550 global offshore wind companies, policymakers, and research institutions.
In cooperation with the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Jeollanam-do hosted the Korea Wind Investment Environment Conference, where it emphasized the strengths of the region’s wind power industry, receiving a strong response from participating offshore wind companies.
Through one-on-one business meetings with parts manufacturers and project developers, Jeollanam-do introduced Mokpo New Port, which offers an optimal investment environment, and explained incentives for building an offshore wind power cluster, encouraging actual investment.
Seo Eunsu, Director General of Job Creation and Investment Promotion for Jeollanam-do, said, "By participating in Wind Europe 2025, we will promote Jeollanam-do’s competitiveness in the offshore wind power industry worldwide and expand opportunities for cooperation with leading global companies. Based on our strategic partnership with KOTRA, we will do our utmost to foster Jeollanam-do as a global hub for the offshore wind power industry."
