A sinkhole occurred near the construction site of Gwangju Urban Railway Line 2 in downtown Gwangju.
According to Dong-gu, Gwangju on the 15th, a sinkhole measuring 0.9 meters in diameter and 1.7 meters deep appeared at Jisan Intersection in Dong-gu, Gwangju at around 6:45 a.m. that day.
No casualties or property damage have been reported as a result of the sinkhole. Dong-gu has restricted access to the area and is carrying out restoration work.
Dong-gu plans to investigate the cause of the sinkhole after completing the restoration work.
