This project was promoted to provide a safe and beautiful walking environment even at night by installing landscape lighting, repairing pavement, and replacing railings along the approximately 300m-long walking trail.
The newly installed lighting uses energy-efficient indirect light-emitting diode (LED) lights, which minimize light pollution while creating a warm and emotional atmosphere, allowing citizens visiting the park for a walk to enjoy a more comfortable environment to heal both body and mind. Accordingly, the number of citizens using the park during nighttime hours is expected to increase significantly.
This cherry blossom road, visited by numerous tourists and citizens every spring, now boasts a romantic night view where cherry blossoms and lighting harmonize, attracting attention as a new tourist attraction.
The nighttime landscape lighting installation complements the wooden boardwalk along the lake, which was renovated last year, further enhancing the beauty of the cherry blossom road and ensuring that citizens can enjoy nighttime walks more safely and comfortably. The lighting is designed to preserve the natural colors of the cherry blossoms while harmonizing with the surrounding lake.
In particular, the 'Baram-ui Eondeok' path has newly established photo zones and bench-type resting areas, becoming a must-visit spot among visitors to the lake who want to take pictures or rest with the cherry blossoms and night view as a backdrop.
Jung Jeong-hee, Director of Urban Management, said, "With the creation of this nighttime landscape lighting, citizens and tourists can enjoy a unique night view," adding, "We will continue to maintain Unjeong Lake Park as a beloved attraction and promote stay-type tourism to help local small business owners."
