Hansei Silup Provides Emergency Relief for Myanmar Earthquake Damage... Donates 500 Million Won Worth

Relief Funds and Clothing Delivered Through Local Myanmar Subsidiary
Total Value of Donations Including Cash, Clothing, and Fabric Reaches 500 Million KRW

Fashion manufacturing and development company (ODM) Hansae Co., Ltd. announced on the 15th that it donated relief funds and clothing worth a total of 500 million KRW to help Myanmar, which was affected by a strong earthquake.

On the 10th, Hansae Co., Ltd. delivered goods worth a total of 500 million KRW through its local corporation in Myanmar to the Bago State Government, including 100 million Myanmar kyats (approximately 70 million KRW) in cash donations, 10,000 pieces of clothing (about 370 million KRW), and 10,000 yards of fabric (about 43 million KRW). The funds and goods donated by Hansae will be used for earthquake damage recovery and relief activities for the victims.

The handover ceremony held at the Bago State Government office was attended by Win Thein, Governor of Bago State, along with key administrative officials. At the ceremony, Governor Win Thein said, "Following last year's support for typhoon damage recovery, we deeply appreciate Hansae Co., Ltd. for quickly extending a helping hand this time as well," adding, "It will be a great comfort to the people of Myanmar who are going through difficulties."

Kim Ik-hwan, Vice Chairman of Hansae Co., Ltd., said, "We extend our deepest condolences to the people of Myanmar who are suffering from the sudden earthquake," and added, "Hansae will closely monitor the local situation and spare no effort in supporting the prompt recovery of the damage and the restoration of daily life for the victims."

Previously, in September last year, Hansae Co., Ltd. also donated 25,000 pieces of clothing when Myanmar suffered massive flooding caused by Super Typhoon Yagi. Hansae’s Myanmar corporation is known to have provided the largest scale of support among foreign companies participating in aid for local flood victims.

Hansae Co., Ltd. has continued donations and support worth around 100,000 USD during large-scale disasters such as Super Typhoon Yagi in Vietnam last year, the 2015 Nepal earthquake, and the 2023 T?rkiye earthquake.
