Doosan Robotics announced that it will make this year a new starting point for a leap forward and promote technology innovation centered on artificial intelligence (AI). While focusing on the development of humanoid hardware technology, the company plans to integrate software and AI functions into its robots.
Doosan Robotics recently held a town hall meeting at Bundang Doosan Tower in Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi Province, the company announced on the 15th. The town hall meeting was attended by all executives and employees, including CEO Kim Min-pyo. At the town hall meeting, CEO Kim emphasized that the business, which had been centered on hardware, would be transformed into an "intelligent robot solution." He also stated that investments to secure humanoid technology would be made simultaneously. He also stressed that a major organizational change and innovation are necessary to achieve rapid results.

CEO Kim said, "To become a leader in the intelligent robot market, which has greater growth potential beyond the collaborative robot market, we must create a product gap through technological innovation and provide more value to customers. To achieve the goal early, we will mobilize all available resources, including technology development and internalization, strategic partnerships, and securing M&A opportunities, and establish an execution-oriented organizational culture to continue innovation."
Intelligent robot solutions integrate the hardware, software, and AI functions of collaborative robots. AI optimizes work paths and sequences and minimizes work time. In particular, specialized artificial intelligence (ANI·Artificial Narrow Intelligence) is applied to intelligent robot solutions to enhance the precision of individual tasks such as logistics, welding, and coffee making. Doosan Robotics plans to first launch intelligent robot solutions for the manufacturing sector within this year and gradually expand into other fields.
To enter the "practical humanoid" business, the company will secure excellent talent early. Starting from the 21st, Doosan Robotics will conduct open recruitment for experienced professionals across all fields, including robot research and development (R&D), application engineering, software, user experience (UX), and sales. In the second half of this year, AI·software and humanoid R&D organizations will be newly established.
In addition, Doosan Robotics announced that it will introduce the "blitzscaling" strategy for fundamental organizational culture innovation. Blitzscaling is a strategy to break the inertia of existing organizations and secure market dominance through rapid execution amid rapidly changing markets and fierce competition. Accordingly, Doosan Robotics will focus on ▲concentrating resources on core technologies and businesses ▲removing barriers to change and building a performance-oriented culture ▲strengthening fast and innovative execution capabilities.
