The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will provide technical support for private school facility projects, which have lacked systematic support compared to public schools.
The Office announced on the 15th that it has prepared and will implement the "Improvement Plan for Support and Management of Private School Facility Projects," which includes various institutional measures to enhance budget execution efficiency by introducing a structure where the headquarters and education support offices cooperate organically on private school facility projects and strengthening technical support from design to completion.
The main improvements include ▲centralizing the review of execution plans at the design stage at the headquarters ▲strengthening close, on-site support by education support offices during the construction stage ▲school-led rapid execution of small-scale projects ▲expanding the introduction of continuing budget allocation for large-scale, long-term construction projects.
The Office will especially expand the technical support system, which was previously focused on certain regions, to cover all regions and projects, and will oversee design review tasks for important projects over 300 million KRW to reduce the workload of education support offices.
Support offices will provide close support for progress payments and completion confirmations for private school facility construction projects over 100 million KRW within their jurisdiction, while schools will autonomously and responsibly proceed quickly with small-scale projects under 100 million KRW.
For large-scale, long-term construction projects, the Office will increase the allocation of continuing budgets to improve execution efficiency by minimizing utilization and unused amounts. To ensure accounting transparency and soundness in private schools, the Office plans to provide the same "Electronic Financial Service (e-Education Treasury)" as public schools. Additionally, regular accounting inspections using "K-EduFine Clean Finance" will be institutionalized.
Earlier, on March 1, following an organizational restructuring, the Office formed a dedicated team for private school facility support to promote systematic management.
