Operating Hapcheon Tourism Promotion Booths
Full Efforts to Attract Overseas Tourists
Hapcheon County in Gyeongnam Province announced on the 15th that it actively promoted Hapcheon tourism by participating in the joint overseas field marketing event held in Taipei, Taiwan, together with Gyeongnam Province and other cities and counties.
This field marketing was conducted to raise awareness of Hapcheon and attract visitors in the Taiwanese tourism market by introducing Hapcheon's tourism resources and products to Taiwanese travel consumers and the local travel industry, as Taiwan ranks third among countries sending tourists to Korea.
A Gyeongnam tourism briefing and consultation session was held for major Taiwanese travel agencies, where Hapcheon's representative tourist attractions such as Haeinsa Temple, the Filming Theme Park, and Hwangmaesan Mountain were introduced, along with recommended travel courses for each season. In addition, the local travel industry was informed about the incentive system for attracting foreign tourists, and individual consultations were held to increase interest in Hapcheon.
At the 'Gyeongnam Travel Festa in Taipei' held at the Taipei Performing Arts Center, a promotional booth themed around the pink muhly grass at Shinsoryang Sports Park, a famous photo spot in Hapcheon, was operated.
Interactive events such as mimicking ghosts and pronouncing the names of Hapcheon's major tourist attractions received enthusiastic responses from visitors. Participants were given Hapcheon tourism leaflets and souvenirs, which attracted further interest. Approximately 2,000 local consumers visited the Hapcheon promotional booth, confirming the high level of interest in Hapcheon tourism.
Yoo Sungkyung, Director of Tourism Promotion, said, "This field marketing event in Taipei was a great opportunity to promote Hapcheon's diverse attractions throughout the four seasons to overseas markets," adding, "We will continue to make efforts to attract more international tourists in the future."
