The World Korean Business Convention is the largest economic network event for the Korean diaspora, with about 15,000 overseas Korean businesspeople and domestic SME representatives, and over 300 organizations participating worldwide. Participants are offered various business opportunities such as export consultations, exhibitions, and networking.

Seongnam City will operate a total of 15 booths at this convention. Among them, 12 booths will feature outstanding local SMEs showcasing their core technologies and products, seeking to expand exports and enter overseas markets through consultations with foreign buyers and investors.

The remaining 3 booths will be used as product experience and exhibition spaces for the Seongnam Business Center (K-SBC). K-SBC is a global business platform established by Seongnam City in June 2023 in Fullerton, California, the first of its kind nationwide, serving as a base for expanding local networks and entering the U.S. market.

A total of 13 exhibiting companies will participate in the K-SBC booths, presenting excellent products from Seongnam companies, including AI-based scalp and skin diagnostic devices, various beauty devices, and functional cosmetics. Through this, participating companies are expected to promote the technological capabilities and competitiveness of their products in the global market and explore possibilities for overseas expansion.

Mayor Shin Sang-jin of Seongnam said, "Starting with this World Korean Business Convention, Seongnam City plans to systematically support local companies’ global market entry through various overseas projects this year," adding, "We will continuously strive to create practical connections between Seongnam companies and overseas buyers and help them secure competitiveness in the global market, including the United States."

Meanwhile, Seongnam City plans to continue expanding customized overseas expansion programs in the second half of the year, including operating market development teams and supporting participation in exhibitions in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, the United States, and other regions.
