Expanding Citizen Benefits Through Discount Events in Collaboration with Local Small Businesses
Gumi City in North Gyeongsang Province is expanding the delivery service of its municipal newsletter, 'Gumi Sidae', via KakaoTalk to strengthen communication with citizens and efficiently deliver city news.
As of April, the number of subscribers to the Gumi City Hall KakaoTalk channel has surpassed 30,000, establishing 'Gumi Sidae' as a major communication channel for citizens.
◆ Municipal Newsletter, Conveniently Provided Online
'Gumi Sidae' is offered as a web-based online service and is individually sent to subscribers each month through the KakaoTalk channel. Gumi City operates this service to deliver city news more quickly and efficiently in line with the trends of the digital era.
◆ Collaboration with Local Small Businesses, Subscriber Benefits Provided
Since April, the city has been collaborating with local small businesses to conduct discount events. Eight restaurants on Geumosan Shopping Street and one local creator are participating in this event, allowing subscribers of the Gumi City Hall KakaoTalk channel to download coupons and receive discounts. Through this initiative, citizens can enjoy practical benefits in their daily lives, while small businesses gain opportunities to attract new customers.
◆ Gumi City to Continuously Enhance Content
Various content and events will be added to 'Gumi Sidae' to further strengthen communication with citizens.
An official from Gumi City Hall stated, "We will continue to provide information and benefits that attract citizens' interest," and expressed hope that 'Gumi Sidae' will become an important communication channel connecting Gumi City and its citizens."
