The Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Chairman Han Sangwon) announced on the 14th that it will officially operate the "2025 Miraenaeil Work Experience (Internship Type)" support project in partnership with Bestin Gwangju Branch (CEO Lee Miran).
The Miraenaeil Work Experience support project aims to strengthen job competency by allowing young people preparing for employment to work at companies and directly perform tasks or on-the-job duties. The Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been selected as the Honam Regional Support Center for the Ministry of Employment and Labor's Miraenaeil Work Experience program and is supporting operating organizations. Bestin Gwangju Branch participates as an internship-type operating organization in Gwangju, connecting companies with young participants.
Bestin Gwangju Branch Co., Ltd. proved its operational capabilities by being evaluated as an excellent institution after being selected as an operating agency for the Miraenaeil Work Experience project last year. In particular, since being re-selected as an operating agency in March this year, it has shown remarkable results from the early stages of the project, matching 196 young people with 50 companies.
This year’s participating companies include Korea Road Traffic Authority, Gwangju Credit Guarantee Foundation, Kumho Express Co., Ltd., CBS Foundation, Veterans Welfare Corporation Gwangju Veterans Nursing Home, Korea Institute of Planning and Evaluation for Technology in Food, Agriculture and Forestry, Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation, and the Daejeon-Chungnam Branch of the Planned Population and Health Welfare Association, among others.
The internship-type pre-job training, which will be held for three days until the 17th, offers a solid curriculum and a strong lineup of instructors to enhance job competency. In addition to basic job training, advanced job training will also be provided. Only those who complete the pre-job training will be able to participate in the internship-type work experience for 12 to 20 weeks starting on the 21st.
Companies and young people can apply to participate in the internship-type work experience program at any time. Young participants in the Miraenaeil Work Experience program will receive a support grant of 1.4 million won (for every 4-week period) for working 5 hours per day. Participating companies will receive a company support grant of 200,000 won per person and a mentor allowance of 150,000 won per person, both based on a 4-week period.
