Ground subsidence occurred on the 14th in the redevelopment area of Samseong-dong, Gwanak-gu, Seoul.
The fire department received a report around 3:37 PM that the ground in the Samseong-dong redevelopment area appeared to have sunk and dispatched personnel to the scene.
A fire official stated, "It seems that a palm-sized crack occurred in the ground due to the redevelopment construction," adding, "There have been no confirmed casualties so far."
The police and district office are controlling the roads near the site and investigating the specific cause.
