Genesis BBQ Reports Operating Profit of 85.7 Billion KRW Last Year, Up 31.2% Year-on-Year

Genesis BBQ Group, which operates BBQ, recorded strong performance last year due to an increase in large directly managed stores.

According to the Financial Supervisory Service on the 14th, Genesis BBQ's consolidated operating profit last year was 85.7 billion KRW, up 31.2% from the previous year. During the same period, sales increased by 6.2% to 506.1 billion KRW.

On a separate basis, BBQ's sales rose 6.3% to 503.2 billion KRW, and operating profit grew 41.3% to 78.3 billion KRW.

The company explained that the increase in sales was thanks to the growth in large directly managed stores.

A Genesis BBQ official stated, "Last year, sales increased as the number of domestic stores and sales volume at large directly managed stores grew," adding, "Operating profit improved as costs such as advertising expenses and selling and administrative expenses decreased."
