This meeting was organized to introduce the integrated transportation service 'Ddokta' and explore potential cooperation between the two organizations.
'Ddokta' is an integrated transportation service that allows users to search, reserve, and pay for various transportation modes within a single application. It connects Ddokbus, shared bicycles, shared kickboards, taxis, autonomous buses, and public transportation information on one platform, providing new transportation convenience to residents.
'Ddokta' serves as a public platform to promote the use of public transportation and recently surpassed 1.1 million downloads. In particular, unlike private apps, the taxi service operates with no call fees.
Meanwhile, the Gyeonggi Transportation Training Institute continuously provides specialized education for transportation workers (such as taxi and bus drivers) and strives to prevent traffic accidents through annual traffic safety education for residents.
Through these efforts, it contributes to the qualitative improvement of the transportation environment and the creation of a safe traffic culture within the province. The institute conducts new and refresher training for transportation workers every year and actively operates traffic safety education for vulnerable groups (children, elderly, etc.).
Through this meeting, the two organizations plan to closely cooperate in various educational programs and promotional activities to expand the usage of 'Ddokta.' In particular, Gyeonggi Transportation Corporation will produce promotional videos for use in traffic safety education by the first half of 2025 and distribute promotional materials such as pamphlets, which will be actively utilized in transportation worker training sessions at the institute.
Min Kyung-sun, President of Gyeonggi Transportation Corporation, said, "Through cooperation with the Transportation Training Institute, we will widely promote the roles of 'Ddokta' and the corporation, contributing to safer and more convenient public transportation use for residents."
Kim Jang-il, Director of the Gyeonggi Transportation Training Institute, also said, "We are pleased to participate in enhancing resident services through public app promotion via collaboration between the two organizations. We will promote it to vulnerable groups using public transportation in Gyeonggi Province, such as children and the elderly, and actively inform transportation workers such as taxi drivers."
