Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju announced on the 14th that, in celebration of the 45th National Day of Persons with Disabilities, it will host the "Hello with Stories! This screening will showcase the representative works of the "Hello! Film Festival for People with Developmental Disabilities," the only film festival of its kind in Korea. Since its first edition in 2021, the festival has delivered a profound resonance to audiences with works that capture the world through the eyes of people with developmental disabilities, vividly portraying their lives and voices.

At this screening, six selected films from the first to fourth editions of the festival will be shown. The lineup includes the documentary "A Decade-long Challenge Started with Two Wheels," which chronicles a 10-year cycling pilgrimage, as well as "Ordinary Youth," "Happy," "To Seoa," "Our Place," and "Hyunpi." The films will be screened in two sessions, and all works will be provided in a barrier-free format with audio descriptions and subtitles.

After the screenings, people with developmental disabilities who participated in the production will take the stage to engage directly with the audience. This will be an honest time to hear about behind-the-scenes stories, their experiences as cast members, and how the scenes in the films came to life.

A district official said, "This 'Together Spring' screening will be an opportunity to reflect on the journey of the film festival for people with developmental disabilities, while also providing a space for people with and without disabilities to enjoy and connect through film. We hope many citizens will join us."

This event is hosted by the Gwangju Association for the Welfare of Persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Gwangsan-gu Branch, and co-organized by the Gwangsan-gu Welfare Center for the Disabled, Gwangju Citizens' Media Center, and the cultural content group Itta.
