Building a Cooperative System Between NHIS and Ulsan City
for Nationwide Implementation of Integrated Care Support
The Busan Ulsan Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters of the National Health Insurance Service (Director Cho Junhee) and Ulsan City held a joint briefing session between the NHIS and the local government on June 11 at the Ulsan City Hall auditorium, under the theme "Progress of Integrated Care Support and Future Preparations."

At this briefing, more than 80 participants, including officials from Ulsan City's senior welfare and social welfare departments, representatives from five districts and public health centers, and NHIS staff, discussed the roles and preparation tasks of the NHIS and local governments in anticipation of the nationwide implementation of integrated care support.
With a keynote presentation by Yoo Aejeong, Director of the Integrated Support Policy Development Center at the National Health Insurance Service, the session addressed topics such as the progress of integrated care support, key outcomes of the pilot project, and preparation tasks for the nationwide rollout in 2026, drawing significant interest and engagement from attendees.
Director Cho Junhee stated, "We expect that this briefing session will further strengthen our cooperation system with local governments and accelerate preparations for nationwide implementation," adding, "We will do our utmost to eliminate blind spots in care and reinforce the community care system."
