Seeking Ways to Support Market Expansion in Public Procurement

Busan Regional Public Procurement Service (Director Shin Bongjae) visited Geumgyeong Lighting (CEO Kim Geumyeon), a leading local procurement company, on the 14th as part of efforts to communicate with local procurement companies and listen to their on-site feedback.
Located in Gijang-gun, Busan, Geumgyeong Lighting has been recognized for its technological prowess in the LED lighting field, having received the Korea Lighting Award (Management Innovation Division Grand Prize) in 2016 and the Excellent Company Certification from Busan City in 2019.
In 2023, its 'floor-type pedestrian signal light,' which uses technology to efficiently dissipate LED heat, was designated as an excellent procurement product by the Public Procurement Service and is currently being supplied to many public institutions in the region.
This on-site visit was organized to explore ways to support the market expansion of excellent procurement products and to listen to any unnecessary regulations or difficulties that companies may be experiencing in the public procurement market.
Director Shin stated, "When local companies grow, it leads to additional employment and revitalizes local businesses, which greatly benefits the regional economy. We will spare no effort in supporting the delivery of products manufactured by local companies with outstanding technological capabilities to many public institutions in the region."
