The TF team will serve as an integrated contact point to comprehensively guide and respond to civil complaints from nearby residents inconvenienced by the Shinansan Line collapse accident that occurred on the afternoon of the 11th, as well as to provide information on the site situation, transportation, and safety-related matters.
The TF team is composed of four divisions: ▲Safety Inspection and Support Division ▲Restoration Support Division ▲Recovery Support Division ▲Public Relations Division. The city has set up an office at the Iljik-dong Administrative Welfare Center, where team leaders from 16 departments are on standby to respond promptly to civil complaints.
The Safety Inspection and Support Division is responsible for safety diagnosis inspections and supporting related civil complaints concerning buildings near the accident site, such as roads and apartments. The Restoration Support Division handles support for site restoration and safety-related civil complaints in nearby areas. The Recovery Support Division manages civil complaints related to mental and financial support for residents affected by the accident. The Public Relations Division disseminates information about the accident and safety through press releases and the city hall website.
The city plans to request support measures from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, which oversees the Shinansan Line construction, POSCO E&C, the construction company, and Next Train Co., Ltd., the project operator. The city also plans to operate a Victim Support Center in consultation with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and POSCO E&C.
The TF will operate daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Civil complainants can visit the office, call by phone, or submit complaints via the National Civil Complaints Portal or the 'Wishes to the Mayor of Gwangmyeong' section on the city’s website.
Park Seung-won, mayor of Gwangmyeong City, said, "The city recognizes the current situation with utmost seriousness," and added, "We will do our best to cooperate closely with all related organizations to provide practical support and establish measures to prevent recurrence."
