Expanding Channels for Discovering and Communicating Youth Policies
Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gong Youngmin) announced that it is openly recruiting members for the 4th Goheung-gun Youth Policy Council, which will listen to the diverse voices of young people and work together to develop policies, until the 25th of this month.
The Youth Policy Council is a youth participation organization that plays a role in discovering and proposing youth policy agendas, gathering opinions, and monitoring related matters.
About 30 members will be recruited, and any young person who is interested in youth policy and is residing or active in Goheung-gun as of the announcement date (April 9), aged between 18 and 49, is eligible to apply.
Youths who wish to participate as council members can download the application form from the notice/announcement section of the official Goheung-gun website, fill it out, and submit it in person to the Youth Hope Team of the Population Policy Office at Goheung-gun Office, or send it via email or registered mail.
The results of the selection will be individually notified in early May. The selected council members will engage in various activities for two years, starting with an appointment ceremony, including discovering and proposing youth policy agendas, policy monitoring, and participating in Youth Day events.
An official from the county stated, "We will do our best to ensure that the diverse opinions of young people are fully reflected in county administration," and added, "We hope for the active interest and participation of many youths in the open recruitment for the 4th Youth Policy Council members."
