Yeongam County Recruits Prospective Entrepreneurs for Local Resource Projects

Four Entrepreneurs to Be Selected... Up to 12 Million KRW in Support

Yeongam County, South Jeolla Province (Governor Woo Seunghee) announced on the 14th that it is recruiting prospective entrepreneurs to participate in the 'Local Resource Utilization Startup Support Project' until the 7th of next month.


Selected for South Jeolla Province's '2025 Companion Job Support Project,' Yeongam County will use this project to build a foundation for creating a local startup ecosystem and sustainable job creation.

The Local Resource Utilization Startup Support Project will support Yeongam County residents and those planning to move to Yeongam County who intend to start businesses utilizing the region's tangible and intangible resources. At the same time, it will help concretize startup ideas and strengthen commercialization capabilities.


Those selected as prospective entrepreneurs will receive systematic support to grow into sustainable business models, including idea evaluation, startup school, and expert consulting as part of a step-by-step startup preparation process. The county will select four prospective entrepreneurs and provide up to 12 million KRW in startup support funds.


Governor Woo Seunghee said, "Through this support project, we will help creative ideas utilizing local resources become reality as businesses," and added, "We hope many prospective entrepreneurs will show interest and participate in projects to strengthen the local startup ecosystem and restore economic vitality."
