Inje-gun, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Governor Choi Sang-gi) announced on the 14th that it is recruiting subscribers for the ‘Hope Savings Account II’ as part of the 2025 Asset Formation Support Project.
The Asset Formation Support Project is designed to encourage work activities among low-income groups and help them accumulate a lump sum necessary for self-reliance. It is divided into detailed projects such as Hope Savings Account I·II and Youth Tomorrow Savings Account.
The eligibility for subscribing to Hope Savings Account II includes working recipients of housing and education benefits and near-poverty households. Subscribers who save at least 100,000 KRW per month (up to 500,000 KRW) for three years can receive government subsidies.
The government subsidy for subscribers joining from 2025 onwards is 100,000 KRW in the first year, 200,000 KRW in the second year, and 300,000 KRW in the third year. If the subscriber maintains a monthly savings of 100,000 KRW for three years, they can receive a total of 10,800,000 KRW, combining their own savings of 3,600,000 KRW and government subsidies of 7,200,000 KRW. However, conditions such as continuous work activity must be met.
The first application period is from April 14 to 22, with additional application periods in July and October this year. Eligible applicants can apply at the administrative welfare centers in their respective towns and townships.
An official from Inje-gun stated, “We ask for much interest in this project aimed at helping vulnerable groups build assets.”
