Collaboration Planned for Marketing Targeting Domestic and Foreign Customers

Shilla Duty Free, operated by Hotel Shilla, announced on the 14th that it has signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with KGC Ginseng Corporation's 'Jeonggwanjang' brand to strengthen competitiveness in the health functional food market.

On the 10th, Shilla Duty Free held an MOU signing ceremony for mutual cooperation between Shilla Duty Free and Jeonggwanjang at the Shilla Duty Free Seoul branch located in Jangchung-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul, attended by Kim Jun-hwan, Head of TR Division at Hotel Shilla, and Han Seung-gyu, Head of Marketing Division at KGC Ginseng Corporation.


Through this agreement, both companies plan to promote joint planning and launching of new products, customized marketing and event activities targeting domestic and foreign customers, and development of new overseas channels.


Shilla Duty Free aims to further solidify its position in the global health food market through collaboration with Jeonggwanjang and enhance customer satisfaction with differentiated products and services.


Jeonggwanjang is the flagship brand of KGC Ginseng Corporation, a prestigious red ginseng house with a history of 126 years. Through strict quality control and research and development, it exports products to over 40 countries worldwide, establishing itself as a global health food brand.


Based on Jeonggwanjang's technological capabilities, Shilla Duty Free plans to jointly plan and launch new products reflecting consumer needs by nationality. In line with the 'Healthy Pleasure' trend, which pursues enjoyable health management by taking care of both taste and health, they will actively carry out joint marketing targeting the 20s and 30s age groups.


In line with the temporary visa exemption for Chinese group tourists scheduled for the third quarter, Shilla Duty Free plans to conduct joint promotions with Jeonggwanjang at its downtown and airport stores.
