Aiming to Discover Innovative Ideas and Improve Work Methods...
Establishing an AI Work Innovation Team to Seek Administrative Innovation Measures
Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that it will officially start operating the Geumcheon Innovation Research Group in 2025.
The 'Geumcheon Innovation Research Group' is composed of public officials from various generations and ranks within Geumcheon-gu. It aims to discover innovative ideas from fresh perspectives, improve administrative innovation, enhance work methods, and transform organizational culture.
This year, 20 public officials at grade 6 and below joined the Innovation Research Group through an open recruitment process. The group is organized into five teams: three teams with autonomous themes and two teams focused on artificial intelligence (AI) work innovation.
In particular, as AI technology has emerged as a key topic across administration, a separate 'AI Work Innovation' team will be operated to explore administrative innovation measures.
New elements have also been added to the operation method. By recruiting members at the team level, expanding incentives such as activity funding support, and introducing proposal presentation contests, the autonomy and willingness to participate of members have been enhanced.
On April 1st, the district held an orientation at the lifelong learning center lecture room of Geumcheon-gu Office to mark the start of the 2025 Geumcheon Innovation Research Group.
Mayor Yu Seong-hoon attended the event to encourage the Innovation Research Group. The event included an introduction to the group's role, sharing of last year's activities, and guidance on team recruitment results and operation methods.
Members will continue autonomous research activities by team and plan to present and share their research achievements at the 'Proposal Presentation Contest' scheduled for September to October.
Last year, the Geumcheon Innovation Research Group carried out various activities to improve organizational culture and administrative innovation. They created the 'Geumcheon Organizational Culture 10 Commandments' and collaborated with the Civil Complaints Audit Officer to conduct integrity and organizational culture campaigns, leading changes in organizational culture.
Additionally, they invited Lee Kyung-soo, a government office developer, to provide training for all employees and participated in government innovation mentoring in Anyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, strengthening members' innovation capabilities.
Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, "We expect active participation to lead administrative innovation with employees' fresh ideas," adding, "We will actively support Innovation Research Group members so they can freely express ideas and carry out activities."
