Gwanak-gu Supports Low-Interest Loans for Restaurant Environment Improvement

Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) is supporting low-interest loans from the Food Promotion Fund to improve the hygiene environment and facilities of food hygiene businesses such as restaurants, striving to create a safe and hygienic dining environment.

The total loan amount for this project is 100 million KRW, and the loan support targets are general restaurants, snack bars, bakeries, food manufacturing and processing businesses, etc., that have obtained business permits under the Food Sanitation Act within Gwanak-gu.

▲ Businesses that are temporarily closed or permanently closed ▲ Unregistered businesses ▲ Entertainment and Danranju bars ▲ Businesses that have registered or reported new operations (including succession of status) within less than one year are excluded from support. However, in the case of entertainment and Danranju bars, funds for restroom improvements can be applied for.

The loan funds must be used for facility improvements such as repairing business premises or installing equipment. Facility improvement funds for businesses can be supported up to 80% of the required amount, and restroom improvements within the business can be supported up to a maximum of 20 million KRW. Loan applications are accepted until funds are exhausted.

Food service businesses receiving loans must repay with a 1-year grace period followed by 3 years of equal installments, and food manufacturing and processing businesses must repay with a 3-year grace period followed by 5 years of equal installments. For restroom facility improvements, repayment is with a 1-year grace period followed by 2 years of equal installments, and the loan interest rate is planned to be applied at 1-2% per annum.

Business owners wishing to apply for loans should prepare application documents such as the loan application form and business plan and submit them in person to the Hygiene Division of the Gwanak-gu Health Center.
