Lee Jae-myung to Visit AI Semiconductor Startup 'PuriosaAI' on the 14th

First Official Schedule After Declaring Candidacy: Visiting an AI Company
"We Will Witness Korean Technology That Can Break Nvidia's Monopoly"

Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party's presidential primary candidate, is scheduled to visit AI semiconductor fabless company PuriosaAI on the 14th.

On the 13th, Lee's campaign announced that as his first official schedule after declaring his candidacy, he will visit the headquarters of PuriosaAI located in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul at 10 a.m. on the 14th.


Lee's camp stated, "We will directly visit the site of Korean technology that can break Nvidia's monopoly in the global AI semiconductor market and present a vision and support policies that can lead the world in the AI industry sector." They added, "We plan to discuss cooperation measures between the government and companies through a meeting with related parties."


Attending the visit will be Yoon Hu-deok, head of the policy headquarters of the campaign, and Lee Hae-sik, chief secretary. From the company side, CEO Baek Jun-ho and Executive Director Jung Young-beom, among other executives and employees, are expected to attend.


Through this visit, Lee is expected to emphasize the necessity of state-led investment in advanced industries such as AI.


Meanwhile, on the same day, Lee appointed five-term lawmaker Ahn Kyu-baek as the head of the campaign's special advisory group and lawmaker Park Gyun-taek, who previously served as the party leader's chief special advisor, as the head of the legal support team. Three-term lawmaker Kim Byung-gi and two-term lawmaker Park Sang-hyuk were appointed as the head of the organization headquarters and the head of the public relations headquarters, respectively, and two-term lawmaker Kang Deuk-gu was appointed as the head of the task force for current issues response.
