Yeongju Holds Harmony Festival for Local Community Child Center Children

Yeongju City in North Gyeongsang Province held the 'Yeongju City Community Child Center Children's Harmony Festival' on the 12th at the National Sports Center, with over 270 children and staff from 10 local community child centers in attendance.

This event was organized to provide children with opportunities for healthy physical activity, to foster a sense of solidarity among community child centers, and to help improve the children's self-esteem.

The event featured a variety of programs, including recreation, a fun sports day, and talent shows. The participating children mingled with laughter and cheers, creating meaningful memories together.

A child attending the Happy Homeschool Community Child Center shared, "Just like last year, I really enjoyed being able to run and play with my friends again this year," and added, "It was especially nice to become friends with children from other centers."

Kim Geumjoo, Head of the Department of Children and Youth, said, "We prepared this event so that the children could run and play freely and build happy memories together," and added, "We will do our best to promote child welfare policies so that children can grow up healthy and safe."

Community child centers are child welfare facilities that provide comprehensive welfare services such as after-school care, academic guidance, emotional support, and cultural experiences to children in the local community, playing a key role in creating a safe growth environment and promoting the welfare of children from vulnerable groups.
